Kelly's Writer's Block

This weekend is right around the corner....it's Thursday....only four days until Decadent Publishing launches their website and my novel is out there for the world to purchase and read.  I'm a nervous wreck.  Writing the book was easy, getting the story out.  Editing was, well, an adventure to say the least!  Now, will the final copy out of my hands....I'm going crazy!  This was definitely a learning process.  I know way more than I did in the beginning.  I'm excited, no.....exstatic to know that in a few short days everyone will see my work.  At the same time, what if people don't like it?  Do I like it?  Of course, I LOVE it.  It's my baby!  Most of the editors who've seen my work have had good things to say about the story.  So, I just need to get through today and tomorrow.  Then my vacation begins.  I will be able to work on my new WIP, a Christmas based story, which is yet to see if it will be a short story, novella, or full length novel.  Depends how detailed I go with it, how involved I let myself become.  I'm working on another Holiday story as well, and it is a short....trying to keep it at 5k works, a challenge to myself after a friend and fellow author did that.  Let me tell you...it's hard to keep the word count down, haha, especially when you're long winded like me!  Well peeps, I'm heading off to my day job this morning with a song in my heart and a bounce in my step.  Get ready world, cuz here I come!
